Shelley Robertson-Walshe was a stay-at-home mom with a small daughter and a young husband who was building a career with her support. But when she became pregnant with their second child, the couple worried about making ends meet on just one paycheck. Shelley took on a series of part-time jobs, but found it difficult to balance caring for her family with work.

Her parents, ECs Justin and Sherri Title, suggested she try AMBIT and took her to a presentation in Round Rock, Texas. But Shelley passed up the opportunity because she didn’t live in a deregulated area. She did, however, decide to take advantage of AMBIT rates and become a Customer.

Then, a few months later, she saw the light. Her mother was able to retire early from her job as a paralegal. As Shelley says “I knew if she could achieve that, so could I. I started building my business from that day forward.”

Home sweet home-based business
“When I first began as an MC my goal was to stay home with my children and quit my part-time job,” Shelley states. “I was able to reach this within six weeks of joining AMBIT. Last month we reached our goal of providing a private school education for both our children.”

Like many Consultants, Shelley finds her “why” continues to evolve as she moves up the ladder of AMBIT success. Now her goals include saving for her children’s college funds and planning for retirement. “I am no longer afraid of retirement funds, college funds or the future,” she says.

Selling AMBIT has done more than just provide Shelley with a sense of financial security, too. She feels it has helped her grow as an individual. “AMBIT Energy has given me a sense of confidence I never knew I had. “

A family network
One of the core reasons for Shelley’s success has been the support of her family. Her parents, her brother, her sister and a whole family network are all working with AMBIT, as well as many of her friends.

She believes that the secret to success is “simple daily actions, compounded over time. I encourage new Consultants to keep talking and spreading the word to everybody they meet. The system is already in place for their own success.”

For Shelley, the future is looking better than ever. “I hope to make NC one day, as I would love to touch the lives of many people by sharing my success story with them and show them their own way to financial freedom.”

For Shelley, it would be the next likely step in an AMBIT success story that just keeps getting better and better.
