Robin Polin, Executive Consultant
Robin Polin isn’t one to let anything get in her way. For example, when she felt that employers weren’t giving her opportunities to advance in her career due to her deafness, she started to get involved in home businesses to find ways around her financial challenges. That led to an introduction to the Ambit Opportunity. The only problem – Robin lived in Tulsa, and Ambit Energy isn’t available in Oklahoma.
But after some consideration, Robin realized that Ambit made more sense than any of the other businesses she was pursuing, even if it meant going out-of-state to find Customers. She also saw a career that offered the flexibility to spend time with her elderly mother and pursue her activities as a freelance missionary in the community.
Carrying on a Family Tradition
Finding success wasn’t easy, but a streak of entrepreneurial drive ran in Robin’s family. Her father was a successful business owner in Tulsa, and she was determined to carry on his legacy and to help the deaf community. By using a video phone, she’s able to reach out to multiple Ambit markets and communicate with her Customers and Consultant team using American Sign Language.

Still Moving Forward
While Robin is proud of her success and continuing the family tradition, she’s far from done. “My goal is to reach National Consultant,” she says. To achieve this goal, she plans to attend Deaf Expos and other events to meet more potential Customers and Consultants in person. She also is working hard to teach her fellow Deaf and Hard of Hearing Consultants how to communicate the advantages of Ambit’s products and business model.
“I’m proud of my success and to prove to the world I can do anything except hear!” she says.

What is your “Why” for working the Ambit business?
My feeling that I’m a good fit in the Ambit Energy business and my knowledge I can fit in my working with Ambit Energy because their system perfect.

My average time is 2 to 4 hours per day.
What was your single most-effective Success Tool, factor or influence for growing your business?
Showing Customers and new Consultants the website; since they are often Deaf, they need to see information on the website so that’s how I recruit them to sign up with Ambit Energy.
Name your favorite thing about AMBITION:
The announcements, especially when new states open for electric, gas and solar.
